On Wednesday, March 27, the IT Subotica 2030 organization and the BioSense Institute from Novi Sad organized a free lecture for farmers from Subotica and the Northern Bačka District at the Inspira Group’s premises. The topic of the lecture was how farmers can use free digital tools to improve their production, save valuable time, and achieve better yields. Over 40 farmers attended the lecture, where they learned about the digital tools that are already publicly available to local farmers, which can help improve their farms and the way they perform daily tasks. Additionally, there was a discussion about which digital tools are currently being developed and what farmers can expect in the near future.
The speakers discussed the very popular AgroSens app, which is already significantly helping farmers and agricultural companies monitor crop conditions and plan agricultural activities, with a particular focus on its functionalities and how farmers can use it in practice, completely free of charge. They also talked about the e-Agrar platform, which is currently under development and aims to simplify and accelerate the process of receiving subsidies and communication between farmers and public institutions. Furthermore, they presented the Dim.rs app and potentially other digital solutions being developed to digitalize everyday processes important for farmers.
