During April, the action of arranging concrete planters in the center of Subotica continued. This initiative was first carried out last autumn at the suggestion of our fellow citizen Natalija Boka, and once again, we owe great thanks to the students and teachers of the Polytechnic High School, who made a significant contribution to the quality and efficiency of the action.
In the April activity, a total of 40 concrete planters were cleaned, painted, and decorated (75 in total with last year's action). On this occasion, planters near the City Hall and the entire Korzo Street were arranged.
The teachers and students of the Polytechnic High School in Subotica proved to be key players in this action. Students from the art technician department and four dedicated teachers – Marijana Buljovčić, Srđan Milodanović, Zita Šuhajda, and Nenad Ražnatović – provided indispensable contributions, without which the success of the action would have been significantly smaller.
This project is an excellent example of how citizens and educational institutions can join forces to support initiatives by IT Subotica 2030. It demonstrates how, with minimal effort, we can achieve significant improvements in the quality of urban life and raise awareness about the importance of environmental preservation.
